This summer, Don’t Stop Me Travel is organizing delightful tours to the remarkable Castelli Romani every Saturday.

Made up of a collection of lovely hillside towns just an hour outside of Rome,  the Castelli Romani are the best (and most convenient) escape from the city. The region, located just 20 km outside of Rome, has ancient origins and can accommodate all sorts of different interests, from food and wine production, to history, to folklore traditions, to nature explorations.

With a hop-on, hop-off style tour, Don’t Stop Me Travel lets visitors set their own pace. A bus labelled “Let’s Go” takes off 10.30am from Roma Termini Train Station bound for Frascati. The bus makes stops at Grottaferrata, Marino, Castel Gandolfo, Albano Laziale, Ariccia, Genzano and finally Nemi. It then circles around four more times during the day with Frascati as the starting point before bringing guests back to Termini by around 10.30pm.

If you’d like to join the tour but not take the bus, you can hop on a train to Frascati or Albano Laziale. The bus will come to each stop every three hours to allow every visitor a good amount of time to unwind and enjoy the day. A timetable that shows when the buses will be where will be available for your convenience. The tour costs 36 euros per person, 18 euros for children between 2-17 and if you like to get a group discount, four adults can join the tour for the price of three. The fares include free Wi-Fi on board, wine tastings and guided tours (depending on the date) of designated areas.

The agency also offers excursions and private tours led by experienced guides in different languages. Experiences can include museum visits, tastings, and lunches or dinners in wine cellars or authentic restaurants. Types of tours available include Love & Romance; Wine & Food; Handicraft & Traditions; Sports & Relax; and Culture & Nature. The tours let visitors meet local artisans, participate in traditional festivals, explore the great outdoors…the perfect vacation from your vacation.
