Manhattan – American Bar in Rome

manhattan american bar roma

New to Rome, Manhattan on via Arenula, is the answer to any feelings of homesickness or nostalgia you might have for an American style restaurant and bar. Located where Mad Jack’s used to be, Manhattan’s newly renovated and spacious restaurant includes a large seating area with screens for international sports games, a wrap-around bar, as well as several tables outside for dining al fresco.

The menu features American favorites such as the Philly cheesesteak, chicken wings and a hamburger selection that would rival any Big Apple diner’s. With its full bar and extensive cocktail list that includes the classic “Long Island Iced Tea,” Manhattan’s casual and friendly vibe make it a fun place to have drinks and hang out with friends or grab a bite and beer while watching a football game.

  • Having eaten there today this place struggles to be described as “ok” with the actual meat of the burger being the only part of a Nachos with guacamole, salsa etc entree and Mexican burger with salad and fries that hadn’t come out of a packet or a jar (even the guacamole)….and the men’s bathroom is a bit of a wreck as well.
