Pulcino Ballerino

Tucked away in a not-so-touristy yet ever so trendy part of town that’s home to craftsmen, artists and students, lies a kitschy little restaurant where diners never go hungry. For almost 30 years, the osteria Il Pulcino Ballerino has been turning out mouth-watering dishes that keep people coming back for more. Their prize-winning plate is the sumptuous Taglioni del Pulcino made with crema di latte e limone (lemon cream sauce). If that doesn’t satisfy your stomach, there are several other hearty dishes to please your palate such as their pasta carbonara con carciofi fritti (pasta carbonara with fried artichokes), carni sulla pietra and a tris di tortini (a triple sample portion of vegetable-based quiche). There’s also a long list of wines and a dessert selection that certainly doesn’t disappoint.
