Since the explosion of <strong>Renaissance<\/strong> art when studios and workshops were the hotbed for creative ideas, <strong>two American artists<\/strong> are continuing the tradition of artistic collaboration in the birthplace of the Renaissance. Whether they intended this connection or not, it\u2019s no surprise that <strong>Sara Amrhein and Anna Rose<\/strong> chose Florence as a place to live, work, and <strong>create community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.romeing.it\/florence\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Creative-People-in-Florence-Sara-and-Anna.jpeg\" alt=\" Creative People in Florence connects modern artists with each other and the public to experience a real side of modern creativity in Italy.\" class=\"wp-image-1342\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativepeopleinflorence.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Creative People in Florence<\/a> range from <strong>artists <\/strong>and<strong> designers <\/strong>to<strong> writers <\/strong>and<strong> performing artists <\/strong>as well as <strong>traditional artisans<\/strong>. The alchemy between these diverse creators is what gives Creative People in Florence its strength. \u201cThe real roots at the origin of CPiF are set in our desire, as working artists, to <strong>build a community <\/strong>of people in Florence to collaborate with and learn from, and to offer a platform to <strong>help creatives to grow,<\/strong>\u201d said the founders. They have arranged <strong>events<\/strong>, <strong>studio visits<\/strong> and <strong>workshops<\/strong> and collaborated with businesses, the travel industry, tour guides and local and international press to get the word out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last year has been an interesting time for everyone in Italy, but as Sara and Anna can attest it\u2019s also created a unique opportunity for <strong>social media<\/strong> to help <strong>bring people closer together<\/strong> around the subjects that really matter to them. \u201cWe\u2019ve been doing artist <strong>takeovers on our Instagram<\/strong> profile since 2016,\u201d they explained, and each week a different Florence-based artist shares their work. But we saw a surge of interest over the past year,\u201d they said. \u201cWe never know what they will share, so it\u2019s just as exciting for us to see as it is for our followers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.romeing.it\/florence\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Cecilia-Falcai-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\" Creative People in Florence connects modern artists with each other and the public to experience a real side of modern creativity in Italy.\" class=\"wp-image-1344\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One of their latest online projects is the Creative People in Florence <strong>app<\/strong> which offers users an easy way to discover a curated selection of incredibly talented designers, artisans and artists living and working in Florence. With an easy-to-use <strong>map<\/strong> and search features, you can <strong>look for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romeing.it\/florence\/best-shops-in-florence\/\">shops<\/a> based on your location<\/strong> in Florence or peruse a <strong>list of in-person stores or online options.<\/strong> It\u2019s a wonderful resource for people interested in <strong>Florence\u2019s contemporary art and artisan scene<\/strong>, whether you\u2019re in Florence already, planning your trip from afar, or simply want to stay connected to Italy\u2019s<strong> artistic shopping scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CPiF<\/strong> is always looking for new ways to collaborate with artists and designers in the Florence area, even just to have a chat about their work. \u201cAs artists ourselves we thrive on <strong>fresh ideas<\/strong> and new work.
