On <strong>4 November 2026<\/strong>, <strong>Florence marks 60 years since the 1966 flood<\/strong>, when the Arno broke its banks and submerged the historic centre. Volunteers from all over the world, remembered as the &#8220;Angeli del fango&#8221; (Mud Angels), came to help save them. Tickets range from \u20ac15 to \u20ac130 and are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maggiofiorentino.com\/en\/events\/simon-boccanegra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maggio Musicale Fiorentino website<\/a>. The Sunday 22 November performance starts at 3.30pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-autunno-fiorentino-until-30-november\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Autunno Fiorentino, until 30 November<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The city&#8217;s autumn programme closes at the end of the month, with concerts, theatre and family events in all five districts. The expo at the Stazione Leopolda is open on 27 and 28 November.
