Jan Fabre. Stigmata


Stigmata is an exhibition in homage to the memories which define Flemish multidisciplinary artist Jan Fabre taken from the period 1976 till 2013. Voyage through the mind of this artist in the Maxxi contemporary museum with a serious of drawings, photographs, and study models which Fabre refers to as ‘thinking models’ along with documentary films of his theatre and artistic performances. These are meant to inundate the visitor with the philosophy behind Fabre’s works, infused with a dedication to the forms and movement of the body evident from this thought provoking exhibition.
