For the first time displayed at the Capitolini Museum in Rome the beautiful, intricate and truly fantastic self portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, the only recognized one of the artist, dated 1515-1516.
In the three sections of this exhibit the viewer can read a detailed description of significant moments in the artist’s life, the controversial and intriguing events that have been a part of this painting’s history, as well as the unique techniques he used to paint the portrait itself. This exhibit is a must see.
