Mario Dondero, born in 1928, one of the largest Italian photojournalist of international fame, is told through about 250 photographs on display in the Great Halls of the Baths of Diocletian in Rome.
Four sections in which you recognize the historical moments that have marked the last century, as well as places and personalities to the fore on the pages of newspapers and magazines that have marked changes from that time to the present.
The Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Rome with Electa promotes the exhibition, the first compendium of the life of a photojournalist as the mean Mario Dondero. About 150 shots among those that have marked his career, known for work in black and white that defines the “color of truth.” These snapshots are addedexceptional color photographs, mostly unpublished.
A simple layout will help to enhance the space of the Great Halls of the most magnificent spa facility ever built in Rome, once the center of aggregation that received up to three thousand people.
In throughout the tour route of exposure are recognized artists, politicians, journalists, actors who were able to meet the man over the lens of the photojournalist.
