Make your way to the restaurant located in central Rome where you’ll meet your small group of aspiring pizza chefs and your local guide. Here, you’ll spend a delightful evening learning how to make authentic Italian pizza from fresh ingredients.

The cooking class will set you up with a station including a work plan, an apron and rolling pin. You’ll start with a theoretical and then practical lesson on working the dough, from the ingredients to wait times to two different ways of kneading the dough. Then, choose which type of pizza you’d like to make – marinara (tomato, garlic, oregano), margherita (tomato, mozzarella, basil), diavola (tomato, mozzarella, spicy salami, chili) or Napoli (tomato, mozzarella, anchovies).

After the lesson, you’ll be accompanied to your table where you’ll enjoy a delicious bruschetta while your pizza is cooked in a wood oven. Savor a red or white wine, water or limoncello while you taste your creations.

We had a brilliant and fun time making pizza. Joe, our wonderfully calm and knowledgeable guide and teacher, demonstrated the process, and talked us patiently through each stage of making the dough, rolling it out and adding the toppings. We then got to eat the pizza we made, which was probably the best pizza of our entire trip to Rome! Fantastic, we highly recommend it. Thank you so much for the experience!
