World Cleanup Day in Rome – 21 September 2019

World Cleanup Day 2019

Let’s Clean the World in One Day

Let’s Do It! World is a civic-led mass movement born in Estonia 10 years ago when 50,000 people came together to clean up the entire country in just five hours. Since then, Let’s Do It! has spread their model – one country in one day – around the world. To date, nearly 120 countries and 20 million people have joined them to clean up illegal waste.

This year, on Estonia’s 100th anniversary, we’ve been gifted with the World Cleanup Day – the biggest positive civic action the globe has ever seen. A global movement whose objective is to involve 5% of the global community to take a stand and implement a real change and achieve the ultimate goal: a clean and healthy planet.

Volunteers from every corner of the globe will work together to get rid of waste from cities, lakes, forests and beaches, all in one day! And the Eternal City will definitely be participating. The official cleaning event in Rome will take place in the area between the Duca D’Aosta bridge and the Ponte Milvio Bridge. Join us on September 15th along the Estonian Embassy, Retake Roma, l’Associazione per Villa Phamphilj and Roma Pulita to take a stand and become part of this powerful ‘green wave’ of cleanups. Check out the Facebook event and spread the word!
