The multidisciplinary and creative space of the Gucci Garden in Florence is extending with the installation of a new cocktail bar, the Giardino 25. Here is all you need to know about the new bar signed by the famous Italian designer house.

Opened in 2018, the collaborative and creative space established by the creative designer of Gucci, Alessandro Michele, the Gucci Garden space in Florence has become a true institution in the city, bringing the fashion luxury brand closer to people. The project was initially composed of the Michelin-starred restaurant Gucci Osteria, managed in collaboration with the Italian chef Massimo Bottura (his restaurant in Modena was elected twice best restaurant in the world by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants), the fashion store Gucci Garden Boutique and the exhibition space Gucci Garden Galleria. The new cocktail bar, the Giardino 25, comes to enrich the Gucci Garden project by offering a typical “Gucci” experience that is easily accessible.

The bar is situated in the Piazza della Signoria in the city center of Florence, home of the entire Gucci Garden project. Inside, the visitors arrive in an atmosphere that combines the style of a traditional Tuscan shop and the refined signature of a French bistro. The bar also kept the spirit of the former flower shop which occupied the place for years with incredible flower bouquets on the tables, at the bar and almost everywhere, completing the sophisticated atmosphere. The customers are welcomed in the room (16 people max so reservation is highly recommended), adorned with peacock-blue chairs and sofas around marble tables surrounded by wainscotings that recall the 18th century’s unique style.

The harmony of the bar is the result of the incredible work of Martina Bonci, the bar manager of Gucci Giardino 25. Being passionate about mixology, she created all the signature cocktails of the menu, and her emblematic drink is the Mémoire di Negroni, in honor of the Florentine cocktail born a century ago. Created with yuzu sake, gin, bitters and vermouth, the bartender celebrates the city of Florence with this strong violet signature cocktail.

Drinks are definitely the heart of the place. In addition to the incredible cocktails, the Giardino also offers an incredible wine menu with wines from all over Italy, France, and even Germany and Portugal. All types of wine are available: red, white, and rosé– and some incredible bottles of champagne are on the menu too. The range of price starts at 12€ for a glass and 35€ for a bottle.

What makes the Gucci Giardino 25 such a special place is its multiple personalities. The bar offers menus from breakfast to dinner with afternoon tea and aperitif. The menu was carefully concocted with special attention to local, seasonal products combined with an international touch brought by Martina Bonci’s taste from traveling. The breakfast menu mixes typical Italian pastries with creations inspired by Mexican and Japanese bakeries. There is a similar spirit throughout the lunch and dinner menu where customers can choose for example between ramen with “Midnight Tokyo” and a typical Italian dish with focaccia, mortadella, and ricotta with the “Viaggio a Modena”. Florentine products are celebrated with the Afternoon tea served between 3pm and 6pm where various tea types from the brand Via del Tè are offered.

The Gucci Giardino 25 offers a great opportunity to discover the Gucci world and to try new flavors, highlighting the Tuscan and Florentine traditions with an international touch, making it a very special place in the city.
