Enjoy a ride through the Roman countryside that so well impressed 19th century travellers such as Byron, Goethe and Stendhal. An extraordinary tour of absolute beauty. A journey into a unique environment, in which miraculously intact nature, free from modernization, forms a backdrop to the continuous passage of historical, cultural and artistic events.

I LOVED this tour – first it needs to be said that to ride the electric boost mountain bike was effortless if you wanted it to be. I had never been on one, and did not know what to expect – with a click of a button, you just had to tap your pedal and you sailed forward with no exertion – it was perfect to limit distractions. Alessandra was a great guide – we felt safe in her hands as she stopped traffic and guided us with hand signals. Alessandra was not talking as we rode, so we could really stay in the moment and just enjoy as we passed through the various parks and sites outside of Rome on and around the Appian Way and aqueduct park. Every few miles we stopped and she explained the history of where we were at the moment. Some tips: wear gloves (even cheapies) if it’s under 60 outside. With the speed and wind, hands can get very cold – we did the tour mid December. The bike is very heavy so can be bulky and get away easily if walking it down a hill or path – use the breaks and go slow even as you walk. Some of the terrain can be tricky or rocky so care needs to be taken. We are young-middle agers and not dressed for sporty adventure and fared well. “Prepare your highest assist,” to quote Alessandra and book this tour!

This was one of the highlights of our Italy trip, the tour guide was very knowledgeable on the history and just made the tour really enjoyable. If you can only do one tour in Rome this is the tour to do.

This is a must do while in Rome, myself and my 14 Y/O son did this and we would have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip, the Appian Way and aqueduct is amazing to see and the tour is very well done, our guide was a pleasure and very informative the E bikes are awesome and take the work out of the 4.5hour trip
As a whole this is a 5 star tour
Well done and thanks for the experience

DO THIS TOUR!!!!!!!! We booked this tour for 4 adults, my 10 year old and, our 5 year old who rode in a seat behind my husband (they did not charge for the 5 year old). We ended up being in a group with another couple and they had 2 guides with us because of kids in the group. Our guide was fantastic (I hate that I don’t remember her name) and so upbeat, energetic, and very safety cautious. The E bikes make your life SO much easier to the point if you put it on turbo mode going up the hill it is like doing a casual bike ride on a flat surface. I kept mine on minimal or no assist a lot of the time to have more of a workout but, totally appreciated the turbo mode! My 10 year old (good bike rider) had no problem with the bike or the course. In the beginning and end you do have to ride in the streets and/or cross the streets but, our guides made it safe and were extremely attentive to where we were and traffic management. The only issue we had was, sometimes the trail was a bit difficult for my husband with our son on the back and it was a bit unsteady getting on and off or walking the bike over the curbs at some point but, the guide was there and ready to help. I think if you are used to riding with a kid on the back, it won’t be as difficult for you. We however, were not used to it. But, I would do it again with him because he loved every minute of it. You get to see such great things and get away from the chaos and tourists of Rome and see history in a different way. I have already recommended this tour to 2 people going to Rome with summer.

Nice tour! Our guide was very nice and helpful. A small snack – biscuit- would have been nice as this is a 4,5 hours tour.

This experience far exceeded my expectations❣️ Our guide Alessandro was awesomesauce. His engaging personality, terrific sense of humor, and positive energy made for a delightful day. Learned so much about Rome, both past & present! Like others, I especially enjoyed riding along the Appian way to the old Aqueduct – truly spectacular in ways one can ONLY appreciate on a bicycle. So much more meaningful to me to feel more “local” than stand in midst of a crowded line at the usual Rome tourist spots.

A highlight of our holiday to Rome! Our guide Henriët was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Rome and obviously loved showing us around. My wife is an experienced cyclist whilst I haven’t ridden for years but I found it not too bad thanks to the electric bikes. Seeing the Appian Way and the viaducts was amazing! And it was lovely to get out of the bustle of the city for a morning. Thanks so much!

Our family had a brilliant day on our bike tour of the Ancient Appian Way and Aqueducts. Lorenzo is a fantastic guide! Thank you so much for the great time. We loved learning about the history of Rome and it was a fantastic to cycle around areas we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. We’ll certainly remember this as one of our favourite days in Rome.

If you’ve traveled with teens, you know making them happy is a challenge, to say the least. All 4 in our group (2 teen boys, 2 tween girls) rank this as their favorite experience in Rome! We were hesitant to book because (1) tween girls not great riders and (2) vintage parents not in the best shape. Would be be able to enjoy? YES! The key is the e-bikes which make everyone ride like Lance Armstrong (well, almost).

I would like to thank our guide Mies for such a wonderful tour and day!
Her passion and interest for this tour made the day very special. From the rich history she presented along with her very engaging personality, she taught us some amazing facts as we rode our well maintained E-bikes and showed my son and I sights we will never forget. The ride along the Appian way to the old Aqueduct was truly spectacular. These sites are really best accessed by bike and are far removed from the usual Rome tourist crowded spots, you get to feel like a local instead of a tourist.
