This Vatican Museums guided tour includes VIP early entry, before normal ticket holders are allowed inside. You’ll be able to wander the almost-empty halls and marvel at the Sistine Chapel, with an expert guide there to fill you in on the cultural and religious context of the Vatican’s famous treasures.

As the first regular visitors begin to stream into the museums, you can enjoy a rich American breakfast in the evocative atmosphere of the Cortile della Pigna.

Itinerary

07:30 – Explanation of the Sistine Chapel via didactic panels

07:45 – Guided visit of the Upper Galleries (Candelabra, Tapestries, and Gallery of Maps), Raphael’s Rooms, Sistine Chapel

09:15 – Start of the breakfast, you will be escorted to the bistro of the Cortile della Pigna

10:15 – End of the breakfast, you can freely continue the visit
