Previously found on Via del Corso, Schostal has a new HQ on Via Fontanella Borghese. This historic store (144 years old no less) was a centre for the who’s who of Rome society.
It boasts the kind of classic Italian products that we know and love but are getting increasingly harder to find. Their range includes crisp and elegant men’s shirts of pure cotton, simple but timeless men’s and women’s knitwear of velvety luxurious wool, pure silk neckties and male and female intimates such as delicate nighties, stockings and gowns with such quality that will last you forever. I’m a big fan of their ladies briefs with a breath of delicate lace tracing the edges. Schostal is what I imagine when I think of real Italian shopping, still showing the others how it’s done since 1870.
