From July 3 – August 30, Rome’s piazzas are transformed into a movie theater, as the free outdoor movie festival, “Il Cinema in Piazza,” returns for 2020.
From 13 June to 1 September, L’Isola del Cinema’s annual film festival kicks off with over 80 evenings to enjoy open-air movies, meetings, previews and more on the Tiber Island.
After paying homage to Sophia Loren last year, this year’s edition of Villa Medici’s Festival di Cinema all’Aperto will be dedicated to one of Italy’s most iconic scriptwriters, directors and producers – Paolo Virzì.
Following the great success of previous editions, Roman’s will again be treated to the cultural and colourful event of Cinema al MAXXI.
The Trastevere Film Festival will be rejuvenating the lively Trastevere Piazza of San Cosimato with 60 nights of free films from June 1st – August 1st.
From March 8 to 16th the French Institute of Rome will hold the seventh edition of the Francophone film festival that will include 12 screenings of films (in original language with Italian subtitles)
