Trast

Trast is a cool Roman brand created by two young guys Gianluca and Marco, which took its inspiration from the sculpture of the poet Gioacchino Belli but then went to a whole other place with its signature streetstyle icon and super ‘Trastevere’ design. They do the type of T-shirts that will have everyone asking you “Where did you get that from?”, incorporating Italian cinema classics like La Dolce Vita and The Bicycle Thiefs and mixing it up with irreverent slogans all printed on high quality Italian fabrics. Whether you’re an expat wanting something original to don yourself or a visitor to Rome searching for a cool gift or souvenir that isn’t cliche or made in China, these guys have something for you.
They sell online and can ship stuff to the States in 10 days for about 10 euro. They stay open late at night (which is a godsend when you need a last-minute gift for someone and everywhere else is closed) and they also do hoodies and polos if you want something other than a tee.
You really need to browse in one of their three stores as this place has a quirky design suitable for every age and both genders. Check it out soon!
