Gocce di Memoria, or “drops of memory” is much more than a boutique, it’s a curated vintage haven for lovers of high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces. The store is owned by stylist Eleonora Esposito and a couple well steeped in vintage style, as well as Italian fashion and costumes. Original hat designs line the shelves, and there is a section for up-and-coming local Italian designers who play with retro style accents and silhouettes. The “drops” of memory come in the form of 60’s style cashmere coats, colorful bohemian dresses from the 70’s, and men’s tweed blazers from the 1950’s.
The boutique’s original pieces are re-sewn, hemmed and delicately cleaned to make them as good as new, while maintaining the distinct character of their era.
Unlike, other vintage stores in Rome, Gocce di Memoria has reasonable, dare I say amazing prices compared to the value of their high quality bags, ties (Hermès, Marinella etc.), and vintage garments. Gocce di Memoria also has an online shop that is updated regularly and ships internationally, as well as gift cards for that special someone worthy of a memorable present.
