The Italian Steam Fair, or the Steampunk Festival is one of the more unique events held in Rome this month. Dedicated to the “steampunk” science fiction genre, which celebrates 19th century industrial design, the festival is full of fun events including market with artisanal steampunk products, a costume competition, exhibits, live music, shows as well as conferences and workshops. The fun will start at 6pm on Friday, noon on Saturday and Sunday and end around midnight, at Largo Dino Frisullo in Testaccio. If you’re a fan of steampunk or just looking to broaden your horizons, deck yourself out in 19th century garb and go full steam ahead!
