Restaurants with a view Rome

The exclusive roof garden of Hotel Splendide Royal

Mirabelle is a romantic roof garden footsteps from Via Veneto where you can indulge in a menu entirely characterized by Italian produce. Executive Chef Stefano Marzetti’s creations paired with the 900 wine labels and the 360-degree panoramic views over Rome, encompassing Villa Borghese and the Eternal City’s monuments, make Mirabelle the perfect culinary and sensory experience.

As the sun sinks into the horizon, leaving an unforgettable sunset over Rome, the dining tables, suspended over the green heart of the Eternal City, come to life with a magical romanticism.

Not only will you get a stunning view of Rome, you’ll also be tasting zero kilometer food exclusively grown and produced in Italy.

La Cave Priveé is a true “temple of wine” dedicated to Bacchus (the Roman god of wine) that awaits all wine lovers. An elegant room where you can indulge in wine tastings but that can also be transformed into a private area for special occasions or business meetings.

There are 900 wine labels kept in this intimate custom-made vault. A beautiful crystal table stands out in the middle, which welcomes the great Burgundians, the Baroli, the Barbareschi, the historic Marsala, but also those lesser known wines. With Head Sommelier Fabrizio Colaianni guiding the way, you’ll discover and taste some real goodies.

For a more reserved experience, an exclusive dinner, a business meeting or a party for a few close friends, Mirabelle offers the Privée: a space that can accommodate up to 38 people. It’ll feel like having Rome in your pocket, surrounded by the city’s bell towers and rooftops.

Even if you’re staying indoors, the beautiful floor-to-ceiling sliding windows will give you access to the terrace, allowing you to enjoy the suggestive 360-degree view of the city.

Every Thursday a themed aperitivo with a different wine producer

Tellenae

Every Thursday, starting from July 23rd, some great events await you. The initiative includes an ever-changing aperitivo from 6.30pm to 9pm in the company of Lazio’s wine producers. The formula will be the following: a wine glass + six delicacies by the chef (€ 25). Every evening, guests will be able to interact directly with the producers–a great opportunity to ask about any curiosities regarding the local wine labels.

The Tellenae company will debut on Thursday July 23rd with Giuliano Manfredi Stramacci, engineer and young farmer, who will guide the Mirabelle public to discover southern Lazio, an area characterized by the Castelli Romani and extinct volcanoes, inserted in the fascinating area of the Archaeological Park of the Appian Way. Thursday, July 30, for the second round, the journey through Lazio’s wines moves 56 km south from Rome, precisely to Cori (LT), on the slopes of the Lepini Mountains, to meet the solid and successful company of Marco Carpineti. Thursday August 6th will close this first cycle of appointments, which will resume on the second Thursday of September.

Music over Rome

Did we mention that your aperitivo will be accompanied by the piano notes of Francesco Illiano? The music selection retraces the last century, offering an evening with Italian and international music.

A panoramic dinner over the Eternal City

For those that would like to linger over dinner, along with the last sun-rays, you’ll be able to taste the creative passion of Stefano Marzetti’s à la carte menu (which can also be customized).

Roman born and bred, Steafano draws inspiration from his memories and shows off all the skills and enthusiasm inherited from his mother–owner of a typical Roman trattoria with a passion for cooking with zero kilometer products. Apart from the à la carte menu, you may opt for a tasting menu that includes three courses and a dessert (€120 p.p. without beverages).

The starters vary from a selection of oysters to a symphony of raw fishes and crustaceans with spices whole grains couscous, all the way to cereal crispy red prawns with agretti-green and “Bellini” sorbet.

But that’s just the beginning. Try to choose from the onion fondant soup with two cheeses “au gratin”, the spaghetti alla chitarra with Trapanese pesto, anchovies and breadcrumbs or the fusilloni pasta carbonara with asparagus and black truffle. If you like to play with flavors, go for the burnt wheat cappellotti with cheese and pear with a blend of pepper and Romagna nuts.

If you’re still not full, you can complete your dinner with a bluefin tuna, baby spinach, toasted almonds, wild strawberries and spiced yogurt or with a taste of the latium lamb “IGP”, red chard, goat cheese and Pratomagno “zolfini bean” puree.

To end in perfection, the “carob crumble” with caramelised apricots and Bronte pistachio ice cream or the “seventh heaven” chocolate, hazelnuts heart and gold nuggets, is exactly what you need.
