Romaeuropa Festival

Running from 8 September to 15 November, the 41st edition of the Romaeuropa Festival brings a rich programme of contemporary music, dance, theatre, digital arts and events for children, spread across venues including the Auditorium Conciliazione, Teatro Argentina, the Mattatoio, MAXXI and Teatro Costanzi.
Expect 100 shows, 240 performances and 1,000 artists, among them Sofia Nappi with her company Komoco, Romeo Castellucci with his new work Faust. Fatto, non detto, the Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger and, for the first time at the Festival, Vinicio Capossela, with a ballad opera inspired by the life of Renato Striglia and the work of Dylan Thomas.

From 21 to 27 September, the fourth edition of Rome Future Week returns, the largest city-wide event dedicated to the future, innovation, sustainability and inclusion, turning the city into one big open-air laboratory. Born in Rome in 2023, it has grown into a network that promotes the culture of innovation through a packed calendar of talks, workshops and experiences spread across the capital.
This year’s theme is “Materia Prima” (Raw Material), the thread that ties all the week’s events together and invites reflection on what makes transformation possible: skills, relationships, care, knowledge and vision. Expect big numbers, with over 400 events and tens of thousands of attendees, and a programme ranging from artificial intelligence to art, from startups to social innovation.

This autumn, the Eternal City once again takes center stage with the 21st edition of its Festa del Cinema, from October 13 to 25. The main event takes place at Auditorium Parco della Musica, dressed for the occasion with an endless red carpet, while screenings and activities spread across other evocative locations in the capital. Running alongside the festival, though as an independent entity, is Alice nella Città, a section devoted to younger audiences.
The festival showcases the best films of 2026, along with TV series, music videos, and video art exhibitions. A special focus is dedicated to “Incontri” (Meetings), where audiences can attend in-depth conversations with world-renowned directors and gain insight into the stories behind their debuts. From 15 to 18 October 2026, Rome hosts the first edition of GranMotori, an international festival dedicated to the world of motoring, set in the Tenuta di Fiorano along the ancient Appian Way. For four days one of the city’s most exclusive estates, normally closed to the public, opens its 200 hectares of vineyards and olive groves for an immersive experience where vintage cars, hypercars, motorbikes, design, fashion, food and racing culture come together.

From 1 to 24 November, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and other venues across the city, the Roma Jazz Festival celebrates its 50th edition, titled Rileggere Miles, ripensare il jazz (Rereading Miles, rethinking jazz). It is a tribute to the great jazzman on the centenary of his birth, less a commemoration than a reinterpretation entrusted to artists who have embraced his vision: Jason Miles, his producer and arranger, Paolo Fresu, the European trumpeter who more than any other has carried that legacy towards new horizons, alongside Gregory Hutchinson, Jeremy Pelt and Erik Truffaz, musicians from different generations who revisit his music without nostalgia.

After more than twenty-five years, Kandinsky returns to Rome. Palazzo Bonaparte dedicates a major retrospective to the Russian master and father of abstraction, bringing together over seventy works, most of them on loan from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, home to the world’s largest collection of his art thanks to the bequest of his wife Nina Kandinsky. Curated by Angela Lampe, the show traces his entire path across five sections, from his early figurative years and the Munich period of Der Blaue Reiter to revolutionary Russia, the Bauhaus and his final years in Paris. A rare chance to see works that seldom leave Paris, while the French museum is closed for restoration.
Keith Haring: Art without borders

Dedicated to the artist who, more than any other in the twentieth century, sought to make art accessible to everyone through a visual language drawn from the street and from metropolitan multiculturalism, the exhibition “Keith Haring: Art without borders” brings together over 140 works and materials exceptionally on loan from the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection, the largest collection in the world devoted to Haring, alongside important public and private loans. The show follows his entire career, from his early works in New York and the iconic Subway Drawings to political posters, sculptures, paintings and his final pieces.

Che notte è questa! – Claudio Baglioni in concert

“Che notte è questa!” is the event show with which Claudio Baglioni opens and closes his new GrandTour La vita è adesso. The tour kicks off in his hometown, at Piazza di Siena, in the green heart of Villa Borghese: announced as two nights, on 24 and 25 October 2026, it grew to seven after selling out in minutes, with added dates on 27, 28, 30 and 31 October and 1 November. The journey will come full circle a year later, on 23 October 2027, at the Imperial Forums.
Piazza di Siena has already hosted two legendary concerts by the Roman singer-songwriter, in 1982 and 2009, drawing some 350,000 spectators between them. Backed by 20 musicians, Baglioni will bring 50 songs to the stage, spanning nearly sixty years of career, with the first ever live performance of all eleven tracks from La vita è adesso, forty years after the album’s release.
