On September 20 and 21, the pioneering festival of digital arts and electronic music returns
In the early 2000s, digital arts and electronic music in Italy were often considered marginal languages, far from the spotlight of the official cultural scene. Yet, within the frequencies that blended glitch and techno, hip hop and jazz, a new sensibility was already taking shape—one made of contradictions, multiculturalism, critical thinking, and new perspectives.
Dissonanze, a postmodern festival not by choice but by nature, was the first to recognize and promote this transformation. Founded in 2000 by Giorgio Mortari, a young, bold and intuitive connoisseur of the contemporary, the festival grew year after year, reinventing itself in historic palaces, social centers, and institutional venues.

Best Events in September in Rome
Dissonanze placed Rome and Italy back on the map of 21st-century global culture, giving space to emerging languages and visions still deemed incompatible with the national mainstream. Independent from the start, yet immediately international and deeply intergenerational, the festival has sparked new narratives, moments of exchange and collaboration, and unforgettable memories for those who experienced it.
In 2025, Dissonanze returns to Rome to celebrate its 25th anniversary: a legacy of innovation, experimentation, and vision ready to open a new chapter.
The line-up, curated with the same spirit that inspired the festival’s earliest editions, brings together iconic names and fresh voices from the global electronic scene. Amid lights, projections, installations, and digital scenography, audiences will experience a mix of live performances, exclusive b2b sets, and DJ acts.

The Line-Up of Dissonanze – 25 Years Celebration
The strength of Dissonanze – 25 Years Celebration lies in a line-up that reflects the richness and diversity of today’s sonic trajectories, navigating between electronic avant-garde and club culture.
On September 20, the Left Dome will host a high-energy series of sets and exclusive live acts: Dukwa, Tenashhe, Sally C, Fabio Monesi, Paramida, and The Martinez Brothers will guide the audience through a powerful journey of house, techno, and groove. Meanwhile, the Right Dome will offer a more introspective and experimental atmosphere, with visionary performances by Aisha Devi, Canva6, Herva, Lorenzo Senni, and a special b2b between Giancarlino and Iride.
On September 21, the focus shifts to new sonic visions. In the Left Dome, the stage will feature Ageless, Anotr, Bradley Zero, Palms Trax, and Saoirse, while the Right Dome will dive into more raw and performative soundscapes with Giorgio Gigli, Komfortrauschen, Tera Tera, Ninos du Brasil, and the unique collaboration between Jacopo Battaglia and Adriano Viterbini.
