Experience the Thrill of Flying – Only 60 Minutes from Rome

If you’re looking for an unforgettable adrenaline-fueled experience just a short drive from Rome, Flying In The Sky offers something truly unique: the longest and fastest zipline in Europe, where you can soar through the skies at breathtaking speeds, taking in panoramic views of the Italian countryside. All without needing any special training or preparation.

Welcome to Rocca Massima, a medieval hilltop village perched 730 meters above sea level in the Lepini Mountains. From this picturesque setting, a cable stretches across valleys and hillsides, offering you the chance to live a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that combines thrill, beauty, and freedom in equal measure.

A Flight You’ll Never Forget

The zipline at Flying In The Sky is no ordinary ride. Measuring 2,225 meters in length and suspended up to 210 meters above the ground, it stretches from Rocca Massima to the foothills of the Lepini range, offering a vertical drop of 350 meters. Riders reach an average speed of 110 km/h, with a maximum velocity of 172 km/h, making it one of the fastest ziplines on the planet.

What makes this experience even more extraordinary is that it’s accessible to almost everyone. Unlike paragliding or skydiving, you don’t need any special skills or training. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a nature lover, or just someone looking for a new adventure, Flying In The Sky is the perfect way to embrace the sensation of flying — safely and securely.

What to Expect: The Experience from Start to Finish

Your journey begins in the heart of Rocca Massima, just 60 km from Rome, easily reachable by car via the A1 motorway (exit Valmontone). After a short check-in, you’ll be fitted with all the necessary equipment, harness, helmet, and gear certified to international safety standards. The staff is professional, friendly, and ready to guide you through every step.

Once you’re set, you’ll head to the launch platform at 730 meters elevation. Take a deep breath, admire the view… and then it’s time to fly!

As you’re released, you’ll feel the surge of adrenaline as the ground drops away and the wind rushes past you. For nearly a full minute, you’ll glide through the air like a hawk, crossing over ancient olive groves, rugged limestone cliffs, and dramatic karst valleys, all under the open sky.

The arrival point is located at 380 meters altitude, where a team is waiting to help you land smoothly and safely. From there, you can choose to take the shuttle bus back to Rocca Massima (included in your ticket), or opt for a scenic trekking route if you’re up for a bit of post-flight adventure on foot.
