From May 16 to 24, Rome welcomes back its much-loved architecture-focused event, opening over 220 sites to the public.
From 16 to 24 May, 2026, Open House Rome returns with nine days dedicated to architecture, design, and discovery. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to explore (for free) over 220 sites across the city, from contemporary architecture and historic landmarks to private homes, usually closed to the public.
The programme goes beyond guided visits, also featuring tours, events, educational activities inside some of Rome’s museums, and urban walks through neighborhoods of particular architectural interest.
The full programme will be announced on April 14, while bookings will open on April 27. To take part, visitors must register on the event’s official website: some sites will be accessible by reservation, while others may have different access procedures depending on the visit.
Part of the international Open House network, which takes place in major cities around the world, Open House Roma invites both locals and visitors to experience the city through the lens of architecture, design, and innovation.
The program includes iconic places, such as cultural institutes, representative offices, and academies (the Egyptian Academy, the Hungarian Academy, Villa Medici – French Academy…), museums, historic buildings, sites of scientific and cultural interest.
All sites can be visited by reservation through the event’s official website.
