What are the main annual events and festivals in Rome?

Rome has a full calendar of recurring events and festivals every year. Some of the main ones include:

  • Easter & Holy Week celebrations (processions, liturgies and special masses at the Vatican and major basilicas)

  • Natale di Roma – Rome’s Birthday on 21 April (historical reenactments and events around the city)
