Romeow: Rome’s First Cat Café

Romeow: Rome’s First Cat Café

A concept adopted from Japan, Romeow is Rome’s new café made for cat-lovers, a place where you can eat, drink and make some feline friends.

The café/bistro was started by Valentina and Maurizio: a couple with similar loves in life. Romeow is the product of their devotion to nature, animals, food and design.

Romeow: Rome’s First Cat Café

Visitors dine in the company of the six adorable cats wandering freely on-site, usually napping on armrests or purring past your legs. The atmosphere is relaxed and well attuned to the needs of its human visitors and non-human residents. The bistro offers an entirely vegan menu, artisan beers and organic wines. Many of the items on the menu are also raw and gluten free, and so this is the perfect place to come for anyone with dietary requirements. However, even if you are not a vegan convert, we are talking high quality, creative fare here, made to satisfy any palette. The restaurant also gets extra points for managing the tough feat of delivering exceptionally delicious vegan cakes.

The interior is clean, bright and sleek (think teal hues, quirky decor and wooden furnishings). Pair this with the relaxed vibes and free wifi, and this becomes the perfect spot for both daytime and evening. In the mornings you can come in and enjoy a healthy start to the day (raw smoothie, anyone?), in the afternoon you could grab a t-raw-messino and a coffee and as for the evening, the locale is dimmed to perfection for an intimate dinner inspired by local and exotic cuisine.

Whenever you go, you are bound to feel like you’re in your natural habitat.
