Custom-fit, Italian-made clothes at Tina Sondergaard’s Shops
The Tina Sondergaard boutique, which has recently opened its second location in November on Via del Pellegrino, close to Campo de’ Fiori, is your next stop for custom-fit, Italian made pieces for all ages. This new boutique, run by Roberta and Tina Sondergaard herself, gives women a new sense of fashion inspiration with unique pieces that are made to fit exclusively for the customer herself.
Once you enter into the boutique, you will be greeted with a range of styles and prints to choose from, where no piece could be labeled as “boring”. Once an item is chosen, each customer is measured so that the piece is specifically made for her, and not the other way around. You will find many statement pieces that can be worn with a simple outfit to help transform the whole look entirely, such as the one shown below.
Although the collection found in their boutiques is always changing (as they make new pieces every 10 days or so), there is one piece in particular that is always available throughout the year, which is dubbed the “Grace” style (striped pattern shown below). The fabric used to make this signature piece, is one that you will always find, no matter what time of year it is. It can be made to what the customer prefers, be it a midi-length dress, full-length, skirt, or other article.
Tina Sondergaard is not like a traditional boutique with a specific Spring/Summer collection. Instead their pieces are always changing from week to week, you can be sure to find something here that’s original to Tina Sondergaard and not seen anywhere else. Because their pieces are so exclusive, every item (other than the Grace style) only comes in a limited quatity made and so once it’s sold out, it’s sold out for good. Sondergaard also offers their clients delivery service in Rome, in addition to the customization in clothing fittings they receive in stores.
Their future plans are to extend their in-store business and services to an online experience as well for those who aren’t in Rome in hopes to bring the same services to clients abroad through their website. Tina Sondergaard is well known to the local Roman community but with the upcoming extension of their online shop, soon Sondergaard will be seen worn by others all over the world.
