I began my life in Italy as a traveller before settling into the Eternal City as a student from Australia. As a literature and political science student, I am constantly inspired by how Rome has served as a magnetic muse for novelists, poets and artists over the centuries. For me, writing about Rome is like drinking it in; it is a quiet teacup you can sip peacefully and at other times it’s a shot of espresso in all its rich intensity. However I choose to experience the city’s beauty, it always surprises me.
