One of the most important is the Romaeuropa Festival, a major international festival of contemporary theatre, dance, music and digital arts that runs each year from early September to mid-November across multiple venues in the city. Another highlight for dance lovers is Equilibrio, a contemporary dance festival held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, usually in February, featuring leading European choreographers and companies.

How can I attend opera and ballet in Rome?

The main venue for opera, ballet and classical concerts is the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, which has a regular season in its historic theatre and a summer programme under the stars at the Baths of Caracalla.
